+++ 50% Increase in Production Capacity
Burgstädt, 04 June 2025 –
The Lucht LHZ Group is positioning itself for the future: the Saxon manufacturer of electric heating systems is acquiring additional commercial space in Burgstädt, thereby increasing its production capacity by more than 50%. Previously, the medium-sized company operated with a total production area of 7,100 square meters across Burgstädt and Hartmannsdorf. Now, an additional 3,600 square meters in Burgstädt are being added.
“We have experienced continuous growth over the past years and have realized that we are increasingly reaching our capacity limits. An opportunity has now presented itself, and we have seized it to take the next step as a company,” explains Uwe Lucht, Managing Director of Lucht LHZ Elektroheizung GmbH & Co. KG.
Additional Assembly Lines – Logistics and Sales Moving to New Building
In Hartmannsdorf, parts of the metal fabrication for the production of electric heaters and the coating systems are located on a 2,600-square-meter area. In Burgstädt, the second part of metal fabrication, five assembly lines, and previously the logistics of Lucht LHZ are housed on 4,500 square meters.
“The new commercial space is about 600 meters from our existing production facility in Burgstädt. According to our current plan, we will establish additional assembly lines there, and logistics and sales will also be managed from this new location in the future. This will also free up additional capacity in our existing production,” says Uwe Lucht.
Company Employs 65 Staff – Further Revenue Growth in 2025
The Lucht LHZ Group brings over 35 years of experience in the development and manufacturing of electric heating systems. The company’s portfolio includes panel storage heaters, infrared heaters, and convectors. Lucht LHZ sells electric heaters under the TECHNOTHERM brand and also offers its services as an OEM partner in 40 countries.
Currently, the Lucht LHZ Group employs 65 people, with 55 working in the production facilities in Burgstädt and Hartmannsdorf. The company aims to continue growing its workforce. Last year, Lucht LHZ increased its sales and revenue by approximately 10% compared to 2023. In the first quarter of this year, sales and revenue were again up by 5% compared to the same period last year.
Growing Importance of Electric Heating Systems
Managing Director Uwe Lucht is convinced that electric heating systems will become increasingly important in the coming years and decades, especially in combination with solar power systems: “Electric heaters can then be operated directly with affordable solar electricity. This not only offers homeowners a cost advantage but also makes them more independent from the energy market.”
According to Uwe Lucht, the potential of electric heating systems as an affordable and green form of heating is still vastly underestimated by many people, especially when compared to heat pumps: “Heat pumps are an excellent form of heating, but they are not suitable for all installation situations and are relatively expensive. For the price of a heat pump, including installation, private households can fully equip themselves with electric heaters, a solar power system, and battery storage.”
