LUCHT LHZ has launched a new electric heating system for existing and new buildings. The TECHNOTHERM Dynamo heating system<\/strong> is now available and is ideal for use with a home’s own photovoltaic system and a dynamic electricity tariff. It also helps to balance the electricity grid. \u201cWe have developed an electric heater that not only heats efficiently, but also actively contributes to stabilising our energy system,\u201d explains Managing Director Uwe Lucht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

World first: electric heater with integrated dual storage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A unique selling point of the new electric heater is its significantly increased storage capacity<\/strong>. The TECHNOTHERM Dynamo heating system maintains the set room temperature for up to three hours without reheating<\/strong> \u2013 around 50 per cent longer than comparable electric heaters. This is made possible by a world first inside the electric heater: a dual storage unit with an additional row of thermal storage bricks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first row of storage bricks covers the base load, maintaining a constant minimum room temperature. A second, separately controllable storage unit enables targeted load shifting, generating heat when electricity is abundant and cheap. The storage heater<\/a> is available in four power variants, from 500 to 1500 watts, in white or anthracite.<\/strong> Like all LUCHT LHZ heating systems, it can be conveniently controlled via a digital thermostat or an app.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Load shifting is the key to the energy transition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With the new TECHNOTHERM Dynamo electric heater, LUCHT LHZ is addressing a market in which load shifting, optimisation of self-consumption, and flexible electricity usage are becoming increasingly important. This heating system has an integrated storage function that can convert electrical energy into heat for use at a later time. This optimises PV self-consumption and reduces the overall load on the electricity grid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Our new electric heater thinks ahead: it uses energy consciously at times when a lot of solar and wind power is being generated, storing the heat for later use. This reduces peak loads and enables a higher proportion of renewable energy in the electricity grid.<\/strong> In this way, a traditional electric heater can become an active component of a more flexible energy system,” says Uwe Lucht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
