Burgstädt, 22 January 2026 –
LUCHT LHZ, a manufacturer of direct electric heating systems based in Burgstädt near Chemnitz, has successfully concluded the 2025 financial year. The internationally active company achieved a rise in turnover of more than six per cent. This positive trend has continued into 2026: as of mid-January, LUCHT LHZ’s order book was 16 per cent higher than in the same period last year.
LUCHT LHZ has over 35 years’ experience in developing and manufacturing electric heating systems. The number of employees increased from 65 to 80 in the last financial year. The company’s portfolio includes all relevant electric heating systems, including infrared heaters, storage heaters and convectors, which are marketed under the TECHNOTHERM brand. Furthermore, LUCHT LHZ operates as an OEM partner for over 75 companies worldwide. In 2025 alone, the company secured eight new partners.
‘The time is ripe for electric heating systems – this is something we can see very clearly at the moment. Oil and gas heating systems are becoming increasingly expensive due to rising CO₂ prices, and not all German households can afford – or are willing to afford – a heat pump. Electric heating systems are simple and cost-effective to install, making them ideal for retrofitting existing buildings. However, they can also be used efficiently in new builds. When combined with a photovoltaic system, the heating system can be powered directly by the home’s own solar electricity, providing a green alternative to a heat pump,” explains Managing Director Uwe Lucht.
In June 2025, the Saxon manufacturer took over a commercial site in Burgstädt, thereby increasing its production capacity by over 50 per cent to around 10,000 square metres. In July, LUCHT LHZ also expanded its management team: Denise Littbarski has been working as a managing director alongside Uwe Lucht ever since.
