Bathroom heater for OEMs and retailers

Electric heating solutions for damp rooms: three product types with splash protection, available as standard products or as white-label solutions

Bathroom heating is not a single type of heating system, but rather a product category designed for use in damp rooms. It encompasses electric heating solutions featuring suitable splash-proof protection, designed to meet typical bathroom requirements such as compact design, towel warming and protection ratings that comply with standards.

As an OEM partner, retailer or specifier, you can choose from three product types that differ in terms of heating technology, design and application profile:

The storage bathroom heater uses a fireclay storage core within a ribbed steel casing. It emits heat through a combination of radiation and convection, retaining heat for an extended period even after being switched off. Towel rails are available as an optional extra.

The bathroom heater with heat transfer fluid uses an integrated heating element to heat a closed-circuit fluid via a heat transfer fluid. This distributes the heat evenly across the entire surface of the radiator. This makes it ideal for product ranges that require a classic radiator design with a flat profile and smart controls.

The infrared bathroom heater emits radiant heat via a flat panel. It is ideal for installations requiring a particularly shallow depth, visible product integration and optional towel rails.

All three product types are available as white label or branded products. You can find the relevant OEM profiles and use cases in the OEM Partners section.

Getting started with an OEM project

If you are considering adding bathroom heaters to your product range or as a white-label product, the process is structured as follows.

Details on the process, contact persons and further steps can be found on our OEM partnership page.

Positioning of bathroom heating within the product portfolio

Bathroom heating is not a distinct heating system, but rather a product category designed for damp environments. Depending on the product type, it uses partial storage technology, a heat transfer fluid or infrared technology. To see how these types differ within the OEM portfolio, refer to our comparison table, which provides a structured overview by application profile, thermal characteristics, control systems and documentation.

Questions about bathroom heaters in the OEM portfolio

When selecting bathroom heaters from the OEM portfolio, the key factors to consider, in addition to performance data, are splash protection, dimensions, and the differences between product types. The following questions provide concise and practical answers to the most important points.

Three product types are available in the OEM portfolio: the semi-storage bathroom radiator with a fireclay storage core, the bathroom radiator with a heat transfer fluid, and the infrared bathroom heater with a bracket. Each product type has its own heating characteristics, design and control system.

The partial-storage bathroom radiator uses a fireclay storage core within a ribbed steel casing and emits heat through a combination of radiation and convection. The infrared bathroom heater emits heat as pure radiant heat via a flat panel and has a significantly shallower depth. Both versions are available with optional towel rails.

All three product types are designed for bathrooms and similar damp rooms, and they all have splash-proof protection that complies with the relevant standards. Depending on the product type, they are suitable for:

– permanently heated bathrooms (partial storage);

– design-oriented bathroom concepts (infrared); or

– classic radiator formats with a flat design (heat transfer fluid).

Standard models have an IP24 rating or higher, depending on the product type. You can find specific details regarding the protection rating for each model in the technical data sheets.

Depending on the product type, various control options are available: a DSM thermostat with the optional SmartControl app, a DSD thermostat with Wi-Fi and app connectivity, or a wireless receiver with an external thermostat. Details of the control options for each product type can be found in the ‘Product Specifications and Scope of Delivery’ section.

For OEM projects, white-label or branded options are available for all three product types, complete with tailored documentation, RAL colour options and project-specific designs.

On request, we can provide relevant documentation depending on the product type and version, such as data sheets, installation instructions and images. Additional technical details, such as connection data, protection class and design specifications, are also available via the data sheets.
