Lucht LHZ receives patent for new heat retention tablets
Burgstädt / Saxony, June 14th, 2020:
Lucht LHZ holds a new patent under the patent number EP2834317A1 since May 2020. The invention relates to a heat transfer medium which consists of a chamotte-containing mixture. It is coated on all sides with a powder coating. A heat conductor is embedded in the heat transfer medium. The powder coating consists of a high temperature resistant powder which is melted in a temperature range of 180 ° C to 230 ° C with a residence time of 15 to 30 minutes in order to achieve a layer thickness of the powder coating of up to 70 μm. The positive effect of this coating is that the heat transfer medium repels moisture, becomes abrasion-resistant and is easy to clean. It is particularly well suited for electric storage heaters and convectors. Further possible uses for the heat transfer medium as a heating and heat storage element can be e.g. Warming plates for dishes, modules with warming plates or warming plates. The invention can also be used for tempering chicks, in hatcheries or in terrariums.
Lucht LHZ has been using this invention for some time in its electric heaters, which clearly sets it apart from the competition.
